VENDOR INFO & APPLICATION BELOW:
We are accepting applications for
*Handmade/Art vendors or Brick & Mortar shops in Fest Hall - 100 spaces available
*8-10 Free Spaces to entities who will offer a free/donation-based/very low cost Kraft Your Gift station in King's Room. You would be welcome to sell products/workshop/classes/email list/work it,
in your space too but the majority of the space should be for the kids' craft.
*Brick & Mortar locations interested in participating in the BrickBox - 100 spots available
*Concessions in cute little huts - I am also looking for a Gourmet Hot Chocolate Vendor & an on-site Roasted Nut Vendor

The only cost to participate in the BrickBox is to submit 2,500 4x6" standard thickness, promotional postcards about your business, estimated cost of $150 depending on who you print with. Plus your voice to help spread the word. Participants in the Brick Box would be asked to track the number of postcards redeemed so we can track the success. Likely be a short survey to collect your thoughts.

Brick Box Will Include:
-100 4 x 6" promotional postcards from local Art-Centric Brick & Mortar entities that are based in Milwaukee and the surrounding area - the region for which our patrons are likely to travel, 30-ish minutes or so.
-B&M must maintain regular weekly business hours of at least a few days per week or have a set schedule available for a gallery exhibit. There will be some specific info that will need to be included on the postcard, otherwise you're encouraged to make your postcard promo your own and have fun with it! You are not required to offer a "deal" with your postcard but if you do, promotions should be set to expire one year from the event date.

Examples of who should apply for the Brick Box:
Studio/Stores, Galleries, Retailers/Gift Shops that carry locally crafted items (the more Milwaukee the more WI, the better), Art Workshops or Classes, Kid Art Camps, Art organizations, Art Therapy, Healing Arts, Floral Design, etc

Inside lid of the box will showcase a list of Maker's favorite upcoming holiday art markets within the Milwaukee and surrounding area, no cost for events to be listed. Makers will make the suggestions on their application and I'll reach out to the event coordinators for permission to include them on the box.

QR code to the Directory of Makers on our Instagram page. Our Instagram feed is set up to serve as a Directory of Makers so that at any time the public can go to it and source local makers/assets. Your Directory Listing is basically a post, that you create, share to your own feed, tag with @mkedestashevent_thebrickyard and then we repost to our own feed. The post should lead with your logo and follows with some pics of the products you offer, plus some text about our biz. We'll have a QR code on the box to take them straight to us.

I will continue with a smattering of pretty, well crafted, emails and social media nudges throughout the holiday season as well as some nudges in the new year occasionally reminding patrons to use their BrickBoxes!

Booth fee is the same as Destash  6x6' - $65,  10x6' - $110, $130 - 12x6' and will include a $5 credit towards food or drink at the Bavarian Bierhaus!! We will offer a Saturday or Sunday morning load-in again. We will be heating the space in the same way as Destash but adding more heaters because we're using the whole space this time. Vendors may want to consider bringing a small portable propane heater. To be clear, not every single person needs to bring a portable heater but if you're sensitive you might want to consider it. We will NOT be providing electricity for heaters or other electrical needs in the Fest Hall. If you're someone who's really sensitive to cold I had one person with Raynaud's say they were totally fine and another that had a hard time with it, it's hard to judge person to person. We will be extending event hours to 10:30-5. I know, I love the 4 hour throw down too but we have to, the crowd has gotten too big.

Vendors will be encouraged to dress yourself and your booth for the holidays, red & green, sparkles, ugly sweaters, lights, xmas tree...the goal is to get people in the mood earlier with all eyes on us- not Amazon. Add a bit of pizazz for fun.

Something to collectively inspire: As with Destash, The Brickyard is OUR EVENT. I want to encourage creators to be inspired by the simple yet multi-layered properties of a brick. How simple and fundamental it is. Initially created by hands from earth and water then fired. A singular construction that quickly compounds. How we can throw bricks or lay them out to be organized and strengthened in their solidarity. How it can create layers and complexity within a structure. How we as people are complex layers. How there's safety and security in it. How we can build walls OR decide to build bridges instead. (#gdalligators!) I encourage makers to flex your creative muscle to create work for The Brickyard around the theme of a brick. Throw it or stack it, I'm curious to see what you all say.

There will be timed tickets. I plan to do it in waves- with an initial influx of patrons who will have 2 hours to shop then pulses will be allowed into the Fest Hall each half hour after that. People can arrive at the Brickyard, enter the Brickyard at any time, but you can not enter the Fest Hall to shop, until your ticket time. You can shop as long as you want but if you leave and want to re-enter the Fest Hall, you will have to wait to enter with the next time slot. The IN doors only open at the 30 min time mark. Goal will be to maintain about 750 in the Hall at a time. We'll keep an eye on the count, if we can let people in a bit earlier, we will.

FLOW:
Patrons will arrive at the Ticket Hut, receive their timed admission sticker, their Brick Box, a shopping tote and their $5 BB credit. Then they will get a drink/food/congregate with friends until their time slot is called.

PARKING:
There are 300 spaces in the BB parking lot. We will also have signs for overflow parking at AB Data, a short walk down the street. Vendors will be required to park in the AB Data lot this time.
